    In short, EuroDOCSIS 2.0 will enable your cable operator to sell you telephony services, as well as other benefits, but is does not necessarily mean more speed for you...

        You never know!
        Since I took my DSL in the end of 2000 they've upped my speeds twice for "free" - first 256/256 to 512/512 and now 512/512 to 1024/512.

        Cable operators might not do it until pressured to, though...

          My DSL operator upgraded me for free from 1180/128/3GBmonthly to 3360/384/10GBmonthly. But since they generally suck at service and depend from the historic operator for their last mile connection anyway, I'll dump them for a 8192/512/unlimited ISP in the next few days...
