I don't think that many, since anyone who actually USES the support, wouldn't install linux in the first place. Unless of course it's like "Grandma, that computer is no longer supported by Microsoft, so I'm going to install linux on your computer, I'll just do support for it."

I think that most home users that still have 98 will continue to use Win98 until they get a new computer.
MS might be keeping 98 alive a bit longer so that business' won't switch to Linux. If MS forces a business to upgrade their OS from Win98, currently the options are WinXP or maybe move over to Linux. If MS can hold out until Longhorn is near release (or after) than people will be considering that instead of XP.Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra 9, Opteron 170 Denmark 2x2Ghz, 2 GB Corsair XMS, Gigabyte 6600, Gentoo Linux

I'd rather use DOS 3.3 than ME.
I actualy threw away my ME cd because I couldn't think of anyone I would be willing to inflict it on.
I still have the 3.3 disketts.

After working for years with Win95 and Win98, the sooner it dies, the happier I will be. Win98 simply doesn't have the availibility or the performance that I need.
Yes, you are crazy, but no, I will not condemn you ... there is no rule that says everyone must like the same things

2K now that's a decent O.S. XP would be too if not for the product activation crap. THey got rid of so much of the old crap with XP that their new crap wasn't enough to slow it down.
