Pretty much. Single-CPU = desktop. Multi-CPU = server.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.Comment

It's not an unusual fee structure (other than SCO just being on crack for even thinking it's theirs). Oracle charges big $$$ for the many-CPU editions (and they do have to put in a lot of work to make large servers run efficiently). Isn't that basically the same as Windows XP? Home edition only supports one CPU and Pro supports two. Pro is more than the Home.
But I guess that logic doesn't apply here.... since this is INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY that they're selling. My question here is; How can you sell information and then charge annualy for it?
