I was hoping something good would come of the LinkSYS buy-out by Cisco:
Essentially, they boost the "real-world" speed of the wireless transmission my reducing the packet overhead from 54% to 37%, giving more room for data within the packet, and without using "Super-G" technology which reducing the number of available channels you can use, i.e. Speed Booster G can still use all 11 G channels.
I'd love to get my hands on some to give it some real-world testing
