One of the reasons for going with Win2k over XP I think would be the overhead some of it uses. It could just be that this recent re-install of mine messed up. Odd that the behavior of a freshly installed operating system can differ so much. I'll think about it some more. Maybe I should just stop playing video games and stick with linux Just the upgrade to GTK 2.4 has made an amazing speed increase in Gnome......
