Workstation Graphics Card Questions:

Hello:

I'm doing some research for work, and would like to pick your brains re: workstation graphics cards.

My candidate cards are
3dlabs Wildcat VP990 Pro
Nvidia Quadro FX1100
ATI ?

I was curious if anyone here has experience with any of these cards using:
Matlab
IDL
AutoCad 200x
3dSMax
other...

How did they work? Performance? Compatibility? Problems?

I own a Parhelia at home, so I have a good handle on that. I would like to know how these other cards stack up, without regard to the parhelia.
