trying to use a 2nd PSU, showed one major obstacle, that is the PSU that is not connected to the mobo via its ATX connector doesn't get noticed taht the rig is getting started, so that it wonÄt spin up any drives at all.
but, the other PSU that I have, offers more juice on its 12V line (12A vs. 8A on ethe old PSU), so I guess, I'll just swap 'em and see if it makes a difference.
about the drives issue, I couldn't find any according BIOS entry for delaying the POST process until all drives are spinned up, but maybe I didn't look hard enough ... in which menu could I expect such an option ?
