  • Looking for an old piece of firmware

    Hi, all.

A friend of mine is condemned to the hell of dial-up, and has a WebRamp 350e analog router for connection sharing. Well, had is a better term - it croaked a few days ago.

He is looking at purchasing a replacement on eBay, since the company (Ramp Networks) was bought by Nokia, and the product line no longer exists. (ergo, no support)

There is a firmware upgrade that can be used to change a 300e (possibly), and a 310e or 315e into a 350e. There aren't too many great features in the upgrade, but there are enough to make it desirable. Unfortunately, neither he nor I can seem to find the upgrade package (or the latest firmware) online. There is a link on the Nokia/WebRamp support pages, but their ftp server refuses all connections (anonymous ones, at least).

Does anyone either have or know where to get the upgrade firmware?

    Thanks
    - Steve

Thanks for the tip, but they were a no-go.

It's quite annoying that a 3 year old piece of equipment would be in essentially the same boat as a 3000 year old piece of equipment.

            Well - there it is.

I couldn't access it yesterday (nor could my friend up until then).

            Thanks
