GNOME 2.8 released

I probably won't upgrade for a while. Nothing that is really that interesting to me and also there are always a few things that get fixed once a whole bunch of people download it.

And I LIKE it! Though it took me a while to figure out why all my programs were being opened by default by the KDE programs (i.e. a .tar.gz file was being opened by Ark instead of File-Roller). But now that I've figured that out (you can change it by right clicking on the fie, go to properties, then the "Open With" tab, so you can quite easily change file associations, if they're not already in the mime-type database)
