So I have been put in charge by my company to come up with a document management solution for our lit team.
They need to be able to:
-scan 500 pages of documents a day into multipage tiffs
-the software needs to be able to detect a seperator page to end one document and start the next.
-it needs to autoname the files with a time stamp
-the kicker - the big man in charge does NOT want OCR because it opens up a can of worms he doesn't want to deal with.
I had worked on this project a few months ago when there was the possibility of OCR and data input at time of scanning (we are now creating a database program in house for this)
I had decided on the following piece of software after a lot of research:
but it is a bit pricey and he'd prefer something more basic.
The two scanners I'm looking at are the :
Fujitso fi-4750c
and the Kodak i80
I've been hitting my head against the wall trying to find a new piece of software, and figured some of you might have experience in this. Any input?
