3D Mark 05 released

Installer complained about a CRC error and I had to ignore it for completion of installation.

now trying to run 3D Mark brings up an error and I guess, it simply won't run on Parhelia at all ...

Damn, that sucks The CRC error is cause for concern to though.

indeed a major bugger, but I'm just trying a different mirror from Guru3D and it's already 80MB at 135KB/sec here

if that installer is working right, I'll install it on my 9600 at home and see what gives ...

d/l was fine this time, but it still won't run on my Parhelia.

Anyways, I'll slam it onto my Radeon tonight and most likely, I'll enjoy a slide-show ...

The torrent took ~2 hours on my 750K connection, but I doubt it was maxed out at my end too often.

The first test is some kind of star wars type scene. Lots of storm trooper like men getting mashed by machine guns

The second scene is a 'nature' one but with no animals this time.. just a glowing light/spirte that darts through the forest casting lots of shadows - this is the best test IMO

The final one is the pic that was posted earlier with a zepalin flying over a lake. It features a giant sea monster that tries to attack the craft. This is not as well polished as the others.

After that, the test simply repeats the first and third scene but using only the CPU.

The demo is an extension of the first scene but with sound. I havn't registered so I don't know what else is there.

All in all it's quite fun to look at, but I am sure it will come off again in a few days!
