I just ran it here (tried my system overclocked and it puked at 3.4ghz.... though it ran through 3dmark03 several times. It died on the CPU test...) But at stock speeds, I scored 3989 when I only had my usual stuff running in the background (Yahoo messenger, Gaim, etc.)

yeah but the thing is; 3dmark should be relative to real world gaming experience, there isnt a single game where a 9500pro would out-perform a 5900ultra

We'll see when HL2 comes out.

          hmm
          3DMark05 1746 marks
          Sapphire 9500pro 128MB
          AMD XP 3200+
          512 DDR400 RAM

I couldnt change the resolution to 800x600 unlike in older versions so i suppose i could still play the majority of the newer games without the need to change my graphics card

btw i think the sea monster was evolved from one of the previous demos.

I've tried with the HL2 benchmark that comes with CS:S, I beat 9500pro's pretty good.

            check it out http://tech-report.com/etc/2004q3/so...e/index.x?pg=3

I think it's lost some of it's cool over the years. But then again I was watching it at 1 fps.

                    Same here

I liked the nature demo though, kind of reminded me of the G400 tech demo

That's normal. On my system, I only get slightly better than that.

I got ~2480, but as above only 0-2 fps on the CPU tests.

It didn't have the wow factor for me. Was anyone else reminded of The Mummy Returns with the flying boat?

The coolness factor has definitly declined since 2001; you can't beat the max payne/matrix benchmark nor the playable demo

I still think the best Demo was the 2000 one
