From TV to home stereo

I've got an old (15 years) TV I want to link to a little home stereo, for TV's speakers got broken.

The TV seems to have only one audio output, the headphones one. The stereo has one Aux input, that is the two classic red/white female jacks.


Is a good thing to try to link them together, is there a best solution, or I'm stuck with a broken TV?

Another possibility is using scart (if the TV has it). Just get a scart-cinch converter, and you have a line out...
(this is how mine is connected to my amplifier, not because the speakers are broken, but to get better sound)

VJ, I was already thinking about it, but...isn't the SCART a input line?

usually SCART is bi-directional, but that depends on the manusfacturer, if they wired all pins.

hit your manual for details, as all connectors should be listed and explained in there.
