Talk about obscure! I practically lived in the arcades from 1987 to 1994 and I've never even heard of that game before. Hell, I even worked selling video games and in the arcades from 1991 to 1994.

This thread got me thinking about my arcade days. By far the best game out there was Hard Drivin'. The graphics sucked, but the physics was incredible for 1989. The arcade unit had a 4 speed gearbox, a working clutch pedal, and surprisingly realistic force feedback steering.
I spent more money in that machine than any other.
Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

One of the rewarding aspects of today's emulation scene is that you can now play all those games through to completion without having to spend any more money.
There was an arcade in downtown TO (on the West side of Yonge just north of Dundas) that had the sit down moving version of Hard Driving. I remember it eating my money like it was going out of style. A very hard game. When my friends showed me Stunts on the PC I breathed a big sigh of relief for my allowance.
Now you can play Hard Driving via MAME (and Stunts has been released to the public too) to your hearts content.
Originally posted by ZokesPro I remember that game, played it ina arcade module that moved in everydirection. Was WAY cool, cost 2$ per game but was really really trippy!
Yep. It was free at Tour of the Universe but you weren't allowed to continue and the lines were really long.
