Finally I've gotten my act together.
You can now get the test files from the URL in the attached .txt file. They are generously hosted by dZeus, please be gentle on his traffic, and if you can, mirror the file. I must take the link down after 20 downloads (I'll just see how often the TXT file was downloaded). The file is 143.4 MB large.
RULES:
There are three test tracks in variants. One file each is marked as original, this one was uncompressed. The others were compressed and then decompressed using Winamp's disk writer plug-in. You won't find any hints as to which file has been compressed with what codec, the numbers are completely random.
Listen to the files any way you want, on your PC, mobile player (if it supports wav), burn them to CD-A and put them in your living room hifi or car stereo.. any way you want it, as long as you don't recompress them (burning them to an audio CD does not compress them, this is both uncompressed 16 bit 44.1 kHz PCM audio).
MAIL or PM me your charts, from best to worst sounding, and hw and on what equipment you listened to it. I will post your findings here once I think I've collected all answers. DO NOT post any findings here, as we want to keep the placebo effect as small as possible.
If you have any questions, you can of course post them here
Have fun!

EDIT: The file yello8.wav is corrupt, you cen get the repared version here. Sorry for the inconvenience.
