    You all are forgetting one minor possibility.

    Disconnect the power button from the motherbaord and attempt to start the computer by briefly touch a small metal object(tweezers) across the two contacts. If the computer starts, the power button is bad.

    One of the machines at work had almost the exact same behavior when a power button went bad.

        We went through most of the above (except I forgot about plugging the case speaker in - 8am tech support calls that are pre-coffee are unwise) except for reseating/inspecting the cpu.

        Another possability is the ram needs a good erasering...

          could it be the AGP voltage????

          My old CUSL2 did not like the Parhelia so I just had to upgrade.

            If this has onboard video, did you disable it before trying to run the monitor through a video card? See if there is a jumper.
