    and what about when the world knows the code that is controlling your nations defenses and you don't? that is essentially what it is when they run Linux... because they are too lazy to develop their own UI so they just use FVWM2 on shit... and in part because it's the only way they can get any sort of decent performance out of a Pentium-M 1600 w/ Integrated graphics...

    at least if they use windows they would have to do custom development...

      since the equipment they use is always more off-the-shelf, why not use off-the-shelf software? that's the lower-bidder mentality of the army for you. The can't draw their own specs so they go with what the vendor tells them. Been there, done that.
