    new video card

    Guys, I can pick up an ATI 9600XT from an upgrading friend for $80 ($143 at Newegg).

    Would this make much of a difference in my present system? (GF Ti4200 now...see sig for details) I dont have a pressing need for the upgrade, but the price is right if it would net me a decent gain.

    My mate went from an ATI 8500 on a P42.53 to a 9600XT on a P4 2.53 and he noticed a major increase.

    I think 4200's are faster then an 8500 but not that much.

      dbdg.....Thanks for the chart - very helpful.

      About a 25% increase in frame rates it seems.
