...AND they are a monopoly AND they charge too damned much for their operating system.

I define too damned much as enough to afford Paul Allen 3 200+foot yachts and make Gates the world's richest man and give this company that employs only 57,000 people a larger market cap than Wal-Mart.

I'll do it. I'll moan and complain about it. Here's why: it's not about supporting pirated copies, it's about keeping the Internet usable for the rest of us.

Windows is pretty crappy on the security front, and new ways to compromise machines are found all the time. These compromised machines become virus factories and spam zombies. That makes things suck for everybody else. And it's directly because MS has crappy security. So I want ANY and EVERY Windows machine set to patch and update itself securely by default. It should take someone highly knowledgable about computers to turn off those features and put it into a manual mode.

Perhaps you should complain to the people who've nicked it.

        1) They can never be arsed to patch it.

        2) They steal software from other people via p2p

        3) They can't be arsed to update there stolen firewall or antivirus software

        3) The people they steal it from can't be arsed with updating there stolen anti virus software or firewall.

        4) The downloaders even if they update the stolen anti virus can't arsed to check the stuff they're downloading too see if it's clean or not.

        5) They give it to me to clean up.

        6) They keep me employed.

        7) I should be pissed at Microsoft for closing trying to close one loop hole. for point six.

        8) But these dumbass's will be downloading porn to their out of date unprotected machines so I'll be still employed so why should I care when they lose all their work.

        9) End of the day it won't make any differance as none of these people will update or practise safe hex. so I'm still employed until Lunix takes over which will open up a even more difficult can of worms to clean up.
