I know there are a few other Mac users here, and while I can't remember if this has been done before (Mac and OSX are both three letters, one short of search validity), I thought I'd share a few apps that I find indispensable or at least nice to have at my disposal.
Quicksilver
http://quicksilver.blacktree.com/
An application launcher and search utility that is easily accessed via a shortcut key combination (I use Control+Q) and a typed search string. For a more concise description, this link should be helpful.
Transmit
http://www.panic.com/transmit/
The best FTP client on OS X. Steer clear if $17.95 makes your skin crawl.
xPad
http://maniacalrage.net/xpad/
A plain and rich text that stores all your files in one place so they are easily accessible directly from the application window.
Meteorologist
http://heat-meteo.sourceforge.net/
Nice little menubar app that displays the current and forecasted weather for multiple lcoations. Nothing fancy, but does the job well (with plenty of information).
iStumbler
http://istumbler.net/
Simple utility to find WiFi hotspots, with the option to auto-connect among other features.
Honourable mentions:
Statoo, a floating widget bar; Onyx, a system maintenance utility; and of course Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird.
