Hold RMB, click left? (or vice versa) - That is the gesture for back and forward. Maybe they don't get disabled with the rest of the gestures? In any case: preferences -> mouse and keyboard, you should be able to disable mouse gestures there.

WebMailCompose - don't know about you, but I use webmail almost exclusivelly so it will be usefull...
