Adobe Acrobat Writer 7

I've installed this instead off Acrobat Writer six and noticed that if I create a file in 7 it's twice the size of a file created in 6.
I looked at the distiller settings and reduce the dpi size from 600 to 150 and it's still the same size that is created.
Any ideas on how to shrink the file size.

I am a bit out of date with pdf's , but do you have you embedded fonts into the document? as that will take up a lot of room and is not necessary of you are using common fonts.

I'll check that out tonight when I get home.

Tried limiting compatability which is adobes solution however the file size remained unchanged.

You might want to take a look at the advanced part of the settings, and maybe try unchecking 'Allow PostScript file to override Adobe PDF settings'. That would explain why the file size doesnt change.

Spoke too soon if I do it via Excel the file remains at 6 meg in size.
