Most people don't expand beyond RAM/HDD anyway...
And OS X can't be beaten by anything when it comes to typical user.
I'd like to buy mini sometime in the future definetely. (I'd like iMac more, but...you know what goes here)

    And...ugly Ubuntu?

UmTwig - What I see in the Mini is a small, virtually silent machine that will run every task that I want a machine next to my TV for:

      -Web browsing during adverts
-Watching divx that the internet has recorded for me
-Potentially watching DVDs (although I hear bad things about the OSX DVD player image scaling)
-outputting to DVI to take full advantage of my LCD TV

There's suprisingly little that I actually want to record on TV nowadays that doesn't appear on Torrents within two hours of showing and SFF cases are HUGE compared to the mini.

Why would I want to expand it? All my storage is shared over the network, I'm never going to want to play games on it (if I do then I can move my main box down to the TV). It fulfills a requirement in a very stylish way.

If someone actually sold a mini-itx board that had DVI out then I would consider it as there are some very nice small cases I could stick it in but until they do the mini is the only alterntaive (as I said in the title of the the thread).
