create custom backgrounds for powerpoint

Use your favourite vector drawing or photoediting application or download them from the interweb. Convert to images of size of target presentation and save, import as backgrounds in powerpoint?

The default size is 7.5" by 10".

I meant pixels, specifically, the size of screen it's to be presented on such as 1024x768, it's hard to find 7.5 ×10" monitors.
