My office mates gave me a NewEgg gift certificate worth $60
I don't really have any need for an upgrade, but I thought I might get this board.
I have a very lowend MB (AsRock/SIS chipset),
run a XP2000 @ 2600 by simply upping the FSB from 133 to 166,
and already have 1 gig of ram or I would up that.
It's exactly $60 bucks
I'm wondering if it would help me future proof a bit
So, for example, my next HD could be SATA without buying a new controler.
It would give me that I don't have:
A lot more overclocking options
Memory Interleave
Gigabit network (with nothing to hook it to but 100mb)
SATA (with no SATA devices)
Possibly better sound (?)
ASUS support and tools
What do you all think?
