The older logi optical mousemen aren't really that great. I still use my dual optical because I love its shape, but I'd prefer a single microsoft pickup in it to what I've got now. As it stands, I can't use the VERY low friction everglide mouse mat (very thin, floppy mat with clear, knobbly plastic on top) because the damn thing won't track on it

My mx500 wanders up every once in a while. Looks clean, though. Can't decide if it's the mouse or the KVM.

Does it wander or "snap"? My dual optical works fine on the ugly and high-friction everglide optica, but every once in a while the cursor snaps up and left into the corner of the screen. In games I perform a few very very fast revolutions around myself and end up looking at the sky/the ground. Happens rarely enough that I don't really mind it, luckily.

It wanders. Every once in a few days, the cursor just starts going up, a couple pixels per second. If I touch it at all, it stops climbing.

Just cleaned my Logitech BD69 here at work... It drove me nuts with wandering, but after reading this thread I decided to give it a thorough inspection and found a hair stuck on the reflection surface that was almost invisible. Heh... It stopped wandering. Woohoo!
