Hi Y'all,
I'd need some feedback from all you dual CPU geeks out there, that use AGP cards.
In my case, we have 5 Tyan Thunder K8W dual Opteron boards here inhouse and all seem to have problems in running Parhelia AGP cards in "AGP Texture Acceleration" mode.
Using DXDiag, I found out the following:
The olden AGP4x Parhelias show "AGP Texture Acceleration: Enabled" on VGA1 but "AGP Texture Acceleration: Not Available" on VGA2
The newer AGP8x Parhelias show "AGP Texture Acceleration: Not Available" on VGA1 and VGA2
All ATI and NVidia I tested here in house show "AGP Texture Acceleration: Enabled" on VGA1 and VGA2.
...
Now, could all of you that run a dual CPU system with an AGP card (preferably set up in independant dualhead mode) do me a favor and run DxDiag (run > dxdiag), have a look at both VGA tabs and simply post the state of "AGP Texture Acceleration:" ?
TIA,
Maggi
