  • USB Qwerty Audio Keyboard

What do you guys think of it as an imaginary product?

Instead of having the mouse wireless transmitter as a seperate connection. Why not have it built into the keyboard? And just have 1 or 2 USB connections on the back.

And while you are at it would it not be easy to put things like a Line in, headphone out, SPdif I/O / small microphone (like they have on laptops). On the rear of the keyboard. Rather than going all the way round to the front or back of the PC.

Less cables / clutter etc. An should be higher quality audio as you are away from the insides of the PC.

Composite / svideo in could be an option too.

Cheaper as it is, so nobody'll do it...

get a MS Internet pro keyboard, which has an USB hub, and plug in an external USB soundcard with breakout box. Should match your description close enough.

Too bad that USB 1.x audio sucks, and I don't really like the idea of any USB audio
