  • Bought a Pioneer 109 for...

    $65 Canadian, and I bought an LG DVD DL writer for $56, what's going on here

    The prices have gone down so much it's unbeleivable!!

    I'm currently burning a DVD -R with the Pioneer, we'll see how that goes.

    Regards,
    Elie

    That is too cheap IMO. I am shocked at how they can make a profit on these items.

      Crap, that's almost half of what it costs here and prices have dropped considerably in the last six months.
      Anyway, "tricked" my dad into swapping my 822A Benq with his 4163B LG, he was using it as a CDROM anyway

          it's not even worth waiting, I mean you could buy the LG DL burner, and when something better comes out, pass the drive along to someone who could use it and upgrade.

          The Pioneer performed nicely, I have burned a couple of DVD's and so far so good

            Friend wants to sell me his NEC ND3500A for 25$/21€ (used, 4month of warranty left).

            Otherwise friend paid ~50$ for new ND3540A on Friday.

              I doubt it. That would be a whole new set of optics.

                It's easy when you are allowed to employ slave labor.

                  Surely you wouldn't "employ" slave labour? You'd own it...

                    employ=use

                    when institutionalized greed employs only those making less than $120 a month, what would you call it?

                      Depends on the cost of living. But not an argument for this thread
