    Recommendations for 17" LCD?

    Which 17" unit would you pick up? My GF's CRT died this weekend, and she would like to replace it with an LCD. Cheap is more important than latest and greatest features, and it will not be used for gaming.

    Got a Samsung 713N last week and like it very much...pretty cheap, 8ms and 600cd, slim bezel....
    All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

        Update, I found out that my company has an employee purchase agreement with Dell, so I ordered an E173FP 17" Flat Panel Analog for $224.00 CAD. Regularly well over $300. This is the same model we use for our office machines, and it's more than adequate for my GF's needs.

          I got that same monitor on sale from dell at, I believe, the same price some time in the spring.. my gf has had no issues with it, and it looks plenty nice .. It went nicely with her $299 Dell computer, which I got her to do homework on, instead of her old celeron Laptop
          We have enough youth - What we need is a fountain of smart!
