Yup....strange days indeed. It'll be even stranger when 7 versions of Vista hit the market, fragmenting the OS market so badly who knows what'll happen.

heh.. not to mention the Intel plan to confuse people to death with their own diffrent flavours of the Pentium.... i mean diversification is good... but microdiversification is way to counterproductive... its like having shooting a movie but making diffrent versions of it with the differances being simply nothing more than an added frame here and there just befor or after a cut.... its the same movie... sure sometimes a single frame can do a whole lot of diffrence... and belive me it does.... but its silly to persue such a course.... forinstenc .. there are several DVD's out there with the conveniance of the directors cut... most of the time the alternate cut is just something small and silly to warent being called a diretors cut... ie dosent really change much of the story.... however there are some alternate cuts that realy give the film a whole new perspective......

i dont see this form of diversification helping MS or Intel in any way... it is bound to backfier.... they should just KISS it.... make their products scalable.... the statment "united we stand, divided we fall" dosent neseseraly just aply to two difrent parties....

if i am not making any sense its because i havent slept in over 48 hours

Intel is diversifying their range becasue they can't make a faster CPU's, its smoke and mirrors until they get yonah(?) out. (P4 dual core is new..but you get the idea)
