CSS question or two

Oh! I forgot to post another problem I am having.

When I create a seperate style sheet, rather than put the style info in the .htm file, some of the styles do not take effect. Why??? It works fine when the style is in the .htm file.

Remove the "<style type="text/css">" opening tag and it's closing tag*. Linked CSS files do not require the HTML style tag.
