  • WinXP keeps connecting to wrong wireless network

I've setup a WPA-PSK network at our house and the laptop can connect to it with excellent signal strength. However, whenever the system boots up it connects to one of our neighbor's router instead of ours. Also once in a while it will drop our network and switch to the next available one.

    Dunno what to do.

    Thanks,
    Thien

If you are using WinXP, you have to set the network priority.

Open Network Connection. Right-click on the wireless NIC and select View Available Wireless Networks. On the left you'll see a link that says "Change the order of preferred networks." Move your network to the top.
