There's a new zero-day vulnerability related to Windows' image rendering - namely WMF files (Windows Metafiles). Trojans, virusses, etc have been actively exploiting this vulnerability. Right now, fully patched Windows systems are vulnerable, with no known patch.
For more infor see the f-secure blog:
There's a little workaround until ms patches the problem (altough you should still be carefull with wmf files):
1. Click Start, click Run, type "regsvr32 -u %windir%\system32\shimgvw.dll"
(without the quotation marks), and then click OK.
And make sure your virus scanner is up to date.
