  • Flash MX 2004 Basic Question

Ok, so I've been learning some Flash for a while now.

Up until now I've been focusing on integrating it with dynamic database driven data via having it talk transparently to my asp.net back end.

I'm trying to get a handle on improving my graphics skills now.

I have a question about linear gradiant fills.

How do I set the angle?

By default the gradient effect seems to draw horizontally.

But what if I want it to draw vertically, or at an angle?

So far all I've figured out is to draw my object as if i wanted the gradient to draw horizontally, then rotate it.

One of my books says that you can set the angle of a gradient fill but doesn't say how and I can't seem to find a panel that will let me do that. I figure the field should be in the color mixer but I don't see any ability to specify an angle.
    P.S. You've been Spanked!

    Never mind.

A non-cyber friend told me what to do.

Seems that there's a fill transform tool.

Would have been nice to just be able to specify an angle when I was creating the object but oh well... that works too.
