You guys reall need to take a harder look at the ATI X1000 series, especially the newer ones. Not only very nice IQ but fast and they can use that video encoding tool that runs in the pixel shaders. Not many encoding options, but FAST for those settings it supports.

DrM, Linux support is in the way when it comes to ATI...
