So I built a new PC (specs here ), and I tried running some graphics stuff.
So far, I ran
DxDiag (i'm running dx 9.0c)
Quake 4
MadOnion's 3DMark 2000
MadOnion's 3DMark 2001
All of the above (except for dxdiag) would output jittery, glitchy textures and would flash black triangles constantly during rendering. The card is not overclocked, nor is the PCI-E bus, and I was running with the Cat 6.2 drivers from ATi.
So far, here's what I've tried doing to fix it:
-Clocked down my CPU and RAM - no help
-Turned my HT multiplier to x3, which put my bus down to ~875Mhz - no dice
-Forced Vsynch - Helped a LOT, probably cut out 90% of the problems
-Disabled "write combining - no help
-Tried Omega drivers that are a few versions old - no help
-Disabled VPU recover - May have helped, but I honestly don't remember for sure at this point.
-Changed my refresh rate - nada
-Took the card off of Full Hardware acceleration - nothing
I googled, and saw many others with this problem around the net.
Edit: I dug up this thread on the [H]ardforums...I might have better luck with 5.6 drivers...but they won't be easy to find.
Any ideas?
