not sure exactly if that fan will work without a little bit of creative mounting, but it is really cool looking and I liked the specs as compared to what else is out there (everything else was either extremely low RPM like the NEXUS 1000RPM, or really high RPM and $$, plus this one was on sale )

You won't be dissapointed ! I have an XP-120+Nosieblocker SX1 to cool my Athlon 64X2 3800+ Temperature range from 34°C (idle) to 47°C (full load on both core).

Are you overclocking ?
My 3800+ (2.0@2.6 GHz, 1.5V) goes up all the way to 55C load, with a Thermaltake Smart Case Fan II (~2500 rpm) and XP-120.

No overclocking, my fan runs at 1200rpm max.

I am lowering voltage (1.4 stock to 1.375) AND overclocking to 3.3ghz (or thereabouts, we'll see how hot it runs, more concerned with how much my cpu heats up the other components in the case than my cpu temp).

Right now I have an external corsair watercooling unit (got from a friend for dirt cheap, he won it at a cs tourney), but the only good it is really doing is bringing the heat from my prescott outside of my case. But it is loud, heavy, and big. I go to a decent amount of small lan parties and it is just a pain in the ass to carry around. Yes it keeps my cpu cool, but I found that I can't go beyond 3.6ghz without raising the voltage by an extremely large amount anyways (to around 1.7V+!!) which I really do not want to do. (I can run it at stock @ 3.6 from 3.0, but can barely go beyond )

Only concern I have is that the fan is not high enough RPM, if it isn't, no biggy, it was cheap and I can always get another one.

Got it installed: 42C @ idle!!! a mere 5C warmer than with watercooling!!! (at idle as well) and I'm still at 3.6ghz!! with a prescott!!! I love this thing.

Obviously when I start gaming it will probably shoot up a good +20C, as compared to the watercooling which would go up about 10C tops, but these are still impressive numbers considering the cpu.

Lets hope it lasts when the summer heat comes

took almost 10 minutes to hit 50C, im guessing it would top out around 55C depending on the game, but in cs source with 13 bots it got up to 50ish and then leveled off.

Thing is still rockin even when the AC is off in the house and the summer heat is drivin up the temps in my room. Usually 40C idle, mid/low 50's load. Don't miss my watercooling one bit.

I have been using a XP-120 on my A64 3500+ which runs at 2640MHz for quite a while now§.
Idle is around 32°C and load is about 38-39°C

I have a fast Papst 120mm fan running which helps a lot, but is quite noisy.

Have bought another for my celeronD 351 (3.2GHz/533fsb) and got it up to 4.1GHz stable, with two 120mm fans one an top of the other blowing through it.
30°C idle, but as soon as i launch Trackmania Nations, it climbs to 40°C, and stays there, even with folding on as well.
Just a bit hard to install/uninstall sometimes, with large NB Heatsinks...(have kinked some of the fins on the CelD)

Gonna be giving my Pentium D 805 a run when i get some DDR2 memory, the XP-120 is waiting in its new box, and an extreme PAPST 120mm 12V 5000rpm fan also (180CFM - a lot of noise)
