    Thanks for the input guys. I think you are all correct. I'll wait for vista to be released then i'll upgrade to a 64bit rig. Cheers!

        Waiting to upgrade is sensible.

        However, with a similar 3200+ system, I got a huge boost going from a 9800 pro to an x800xt card several months ago. The x800xt is so much faster, that the comparison was not even close... framerates and 3dmark scores approximately doubled across the board.

        So, AGP8x platforms still have some life left in them... and pretty much most gaming situations are gpu bound nowadays anyway.
