HDMI bandwidth

Am I correct in understanding that the general HDMI cables that are to be used on LCD TV monitors (type A ) are only equivalent to single link DVI cables.

So 1900 x 1080p @ 60Hz is beyond what the connector can do? or will it be limited to 30/24Hz.

Full speed single link DVI supports up to 165MHz, and so does HDMI. That is plenty of bandwidth to support 1080p at full 60Hz framerate. Single link can support up to Wide UXGA (1900x1200 60Hz).
It will be more limited by the type of transmitter and receiver chip is built into the equipment if it is limited to a lower speed.

What he said Dual-link cables are only required for those huge 30" computer screens from Dell and the like.
