  • Need Help with Unix command

    Heres the question:

The command used above is a frequently used command. List at least two ways to prevent having to type in the big, long command every time you need to use it?

I know I can use aliais, but I have no clue as to what other command I can use. The question is worded badly, but the instructor means if you are in a different shell or session.
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Not sure. Put the command in a 2 line script and run the script?

I would also vote making the command into a short script. (It's what I do - aliases can sometimes be more trouble that they are worth.)

        Aliases.
        Shell scripts.
        Tricks with bash history.

Can you show the specific command?
