Is there a way to install it on a computer that has no internet connection?
They ask to validate the windows, but as I don't have internet on my main system, that is not possible.

Main difference I saw after installing to one of the laptops was an endless EULA and more DRM

Well, I installed it and it is actually setup extremely well for organizing music. I like it better than anything else out there. Unfortunately, I never use it unless I have to.

Is there a reason to install it?

Free and costs you nothing but time to test.

I've been using the beta for a while and haven't had any problem at all, actually quite like it.

All I want a media player to do is PLAY THE DAMN FILES. Keep it small, simple and as far from M$'s perverted BS as possible. Organization, burning etc can be done otherwise.

If it weren't for MediaStudio, Premiere etc. needing MP for some things I'd uninstall it on most of my systems.

Something WMP 10 Mobile isn't very good at doing

After installing it seems to have made my video playback... choppier. A little. Could be my imagination, though. *shrug*

I like the layout better, especially for organizing music. But I use WinAMP to play music, so this seems little more than fluff.

To be honest, I never got around to installing WMP10 on my primary machine, and never even noticed that I was running 9 until I went to install 11... shows you how useful WMP10 is... NOT.

                        I would still get screwed

I use Winamp because I can use the Shibatch mpg123 MP3 decoder plugin and Otachan's ASIO plugins for kernel streaming audio playback. Makes a world of difference if you have a good audio setup. I only use WMP when I'm playing back an HDCD, which MS owns the patent to and only WMP can decode them on the software side.
