I remember the Neo-Geo. It was hella expensive. So were the games. The console back when the SNES came out cost around 400-500$ CND and each game was like 160$ CND. Ridiculous. I knew ONE guy who had one, he happened to be rich.Titanium is the new bling!

Just a lot cheaper nowadays what with MAME and such...
I still see the Neo-Geo Arcade machines on the ferry boat between France and the UK.
Sure theres just a console with a multi-cartridge hidden in there...

And not to be totally off topic, I can't see SONY pulling this one off.
Lik-Sang was great, even though i only bought my GBA Video adapter (to convert to a internal wing mirror display for the car).
If i were to buy i console (which I own 0) it would be the Xbox 360 (bugs found and fixable), or even the Wii (cheap as chips).
SONY were the best, now they are getting left by the roadside.PC-1

Count how many Blu-Ray readers are on the market at the moment.
If there was a shortage of Heads, what would that be ? Why are there Blu-ray players starting to appear ?
I would have thought that the clout of SONY would be enough to get priority shipment of such things...
How many Heads/Hour can be produced ?
i mean, (not knowing anything about the production process) they are really small opto-electrical heads, with blue lasers in mind.
They must be ready, since they are producing all sorts of blu-ray stuff.
Surely, they can have ramped up production to a level where 500,000 units is a piffle for delivery at this time ?
The full production systems must be ready to produce large amounts of product (heads) and be able to ramp up if needed.
Head production may have been the delay the previous time, but why should it be still so ?PC-1

That about sums it up
BTW: looks like the complaint is price fixing, a major no-no in the US. Looks like many other companies are involved and the European Commission is also investigating.

Those were a blast to play. I still love Samurai Showdown and Magician Lord.
