  • intel Vpro question

If you have a remote user, connected via broadband at home or in an internet cafe and his machine won't boot.

Can someone still get into pc remotely and diagnose and fix. E.g. does it support vpn connection below OS level?

i very much doubt it, only server class machines have the cards that allow that kind of access to a non booting PC (my PowerEdge box has one in it)
Better to let one think you are a fool, than speak and prove it

If the problem is HD or OS related you might could boot from a live CD then connect to examine and diagnose the problem.

as I understood it I thought Vpro was similar to a DRAC card in a dell server.
