  • The ID on the PIII...

Does anyone can give me a link that talk about everything on the PIII and is ID Number... Or if anyone can tell me the hole story about the PIII and the ID, like how can we see the number, if I disable it from the BIOS is it true that a component ActiveX can read the ID ?

    Thanks!

That ActiveX control that made the rounds a few months ago cannot read the PIII ID if it is disabled in the BIOS. At least not with my BH6/PIII450 combo that I tested several months ago.

My P3's ID cannot be read at this time, because my BIOS doesn't even support the ID, just the P3 processor.
