    That's hilarious. Usually, when you have a ton of overstock, you lower prices, not raise them.

    At least, around here, all the stores have PS3's in stock - people walk past them to see if the Wii is sold out yet again.
    Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

      Same thing is happening here; PS3's collect dust while Wii's fly out the doors.

      Yet another reason for Sony's management to get s***canned

        I actually like the way Sony markets it's products. It ensures the success of it's competition.

        But is TheInquirer.net a reliable source of information?

          Much like The Register, which is who the writer used to work for, mostly rumour and speculation which sometimes comes true

            Before hammering their stories follow the links in it. The story isn't made up but sources from this site;

            The latest gaming news and reviews covering all aspects of the game industry such as xbox, playstation, gamecube, pc, xbox360, and more

            and the poster there links to a PS3 seller.

              I've found theinquirer to be very reliable - when there is doubt about something, they will say so. I find reading it can get you months if not years ahead of everyone else. I first read about the 45nm Intel breakthrough a least a full year ago, well before 65nm came out.

                  Well yes sometimes, as I've mentioned before, they get it right Doesn't mean they are free from the use of rumour and speculation in their other exclusives

                      Mainstream media has bias, but has at least a glimmer of journalistic integrity. The Inquirer and the Register post speculation as hard fact, rumor as truth, and outright jokes as real news.
