How you do you know what mode 1x or 2x the graphics card is using? In Sandra I found a line that describes what modes the card supports, but I didn't find a line that tells what the mode is currently.
If you click on "Mainboard Information", and scroll down, you should see "AGP Bus Information" just above "PCI Bus Information, the AGP speed etc. are listed there.
If you do not get the "AGP Bus information", check for newer bioses for your motherboard.
The previous mobo on my secondary system did give me the information, but the current one doesn't - these being of course bug ridden VIA based mobos (running for cover ).
The Asus P2B-S on my primary system has given the information just fine (no problems running at 2X).
Now I know why I haven't found it. It's because if I click System Summary or Mainboard information or CPU & BIOS information the Windows throws me blue screen, but doesn't crash. However sandra crashes and i can't get any of those modules work.
