Hello guys did you get the special heatsink/fan with your msi ? i did not get one, i used an heatsink for pii (a 300 one...) and now i have one for k7 (with dual fans) but not the special that was meant to be included with the mobo... i get now some strange things (every 3d, 2d apps are working great) but every mpeg, avi (with indeo codec) are crippled..... mpeg are fixed using xing player, but not the avi... some sites are completely messed when i am on ie5 (netscape works flawless)... i don't know if it is heat related, since my system is very very very stable !... btw i am gonna change the mobo and see what will happen.
There is a bug on that msi board, there is actually the same on msi 5169 (ali 5, suoer 7) the ps/2 Irq 12 cannot be released, if you don't have a ps2/mouse the msi board will assign it (perhaps) to an other peripheral and windows will crash and reboot undefinitely, u can go to safe mode tho... lot's of people do have ps/2 mouse so this is not really a problem, but when you have lots of pci card, and search for free irq, this takes you in trouble !
