need a new modem ithink

i have currently got a haicom 56bps internal modem, but it does not seem to perform properly this could be to do with the service provider screaming net, i dont know ,would it be worth tring to upgrade the driver if so where would i go

for your driver.
Haicom seems to use a Rockwell chipset and the site mentions that early drivers had problems.
I use a U.S. Robotics Sportster and have had no problems, although I was once told Winmodems are no good.
