    Eurikaaaaaaaaaaa,

    I've finally find the problem.!!!!!!!!!!
It seem's that the Moth*r *****rs who sold my my PC system when they have assemly it the made a stupid mistake and because he used a VERY cheap IDE cable that doesn't have and extension in the connector to prevent it to fit in only one way the PUSSED IN a pin from my Quantum fireball EL 10.2A and so it worked with one pin less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So i had to open it and deassebly it and with a little of soldering i managed to make it rise again from the slot and now i'm
FULL UDMA33 speed for the fist time in 8 moths .ooooooouf
so now HDTach2.6 gives me Read Burst Speed of 30.1mbps(from 9.1mbps) ,CPU utilisation now in 4.8% instead of 99.9%
    Read speed:max 11823.0kbs----min 8247.0kbs-average 10472.6kbs.
You dont know how many hours i have spended in the internet and in e-mails to ASUS and Quantum to find the sollution to my problem and it was right in front of my eyes but i didn't notice befaure(the Stupid techitians from PCNOW here in Coventry are the one to blame..i sould kill them right now )

By the way thak's to all for the interest in my problem.
From now my system after 7 moths of tunning from my part is wokinf 100% and have NULL problems.(i've got everything ENABLE and all my cards and disk work in full speed.)
My next MOBO will be 100% an ASUS one (an 820i one)!!!!!!!!!!

          try this

never use the auto detect hard disk utilty in the bios. too much like hard work. In you std cmos settings just leave the primary master drive as auto. Also turn off the SMART system.

When you turn on your system the board wiil search for your drive and then find it and tell you what it is. That's it.It takes a tiny while longer than having the settings entered in the bios but then again do you really need that 3 seconds that badly.

this is the way i always setup any system i build and (furiously touching wood and crossing fingers) it has caused no problems

            Allesandro,
Put your Fireball and DVD on a single cable and plug it into the Primary IDE channel. This should double your HD Tach read speed. I just found this out by accident. I always thought it was best to put them on separate cables, but the single cable was much faster. My UDMA66 Maxtor gets read speeds (both burst AND constant) of 21.4 and CPU Utilization of 4.3%. Give it a try, you can always switch it back.
